Position Summary
The Business Development Manager (BDM) at Improvifi is responsible for driving new business growth by managing the entire sales process—from lead generation to closing. This role is consultative, relationship-driven, and results-oriented. You will identify high-potential home improvement contractors, conduct compelling sales demos, and guide prospects toward becoming successful Improvifi partners.
Role Objective
To drive new business growth for Improvifi by managing all sales-related activities including prospecting, demos, follow-ups, pipeline management, and relationship building.
Key Responsibilities
Prospecting & Lead Generation - Research and identify qualified home improvement contractors
- Build and manage outbound lead lists (cold, warm, referrals)
- Use Social Media, phone, email, events, and partner channels to generate interest
- Qualify prospects based on need, timing, and readiness
- Enter all leads and notes into CRM with complete context
- Re-engage inactive accounts after 60+ days of inactivity
Outbound Outreach & Follow-Up - Execute daily outbound outreach via calls, email, and DMs
- Follow Improvifi’s lead nurture and re-engagement campaign flows
- Use sales frameworks and objection handling frameworks effectively
- Track all outreach activity in CRM with accurate logs and reminders
- Set and confirm sales demo appointments
Sales Demos & Presentations - Deliver engaging Zoom demos tailored to the contractor’s business type
- Present Improvifi’s lending platform, training resources, and support tools
- Use proven frameworks such as "The Seven Steps to Offer Financing" and “Amazon Easy”
- Reference SKOOL and relevant case studies or success stories
- Handle objections professionally and outline next steps clearly
- Set follow-up calls or meetings post-demo
- Flag high-conflict, rude, or fraudulent interactions for review by Sales Leadership
Pipeline & Deal Management - Manage sales opportunities through clearly defined CRM stages
- Log detailed notes and next steps after every conversation
- Ensure every lead has an upcoming action item scheduled
- Participate in monthly progress reviews with Sales Leadership
CRM Notes & Activity Tracking - Maintain full records of all sales activity, communication, and lead status
- Tag contacts appropriately (e.g., TopRep25, TAMKO, Trade Type)
- Keep statuses accurate: Interested, Not Now, Ghosted, Closed-Won
- Ensure no lead is left behind or overlooked
Sales Growth Strategy - Identify trends across verticals (HVAC, Roofing, Garage, etc.)
- Share real-time feedback from the field regarding objections and friction
- Experiment with new offers, pitches, and follow-up techniques
- Leverage social media platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn) to build awareness, network, and drive referrals
Qualifications - 2+ years of B2B sales experience preferred (preferably in SaaS, fintech, or home services)
- Proven success managing a full sales cycle, from outreach to closing
- Strong understanding of CRM systems and pipeline tracking
- Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
- Self-motivated, organized, and performance-driven
- Comfortable working remotely and independently
