Job Description

Collin County is seeking candidates for the position of Building Projects Coordinator. A Building Projects Coordinator is responsible for, but not limited to, planning County construction, renovations, and modification projects. Work is performed under the direction of the Building Projects Manager


Primary Functions

  • Preparing paperwork, evaluating and recommending bid awards for construction, renovation, and modification projects.
  • Ensuring all permits are acquired and codes are met.
  • Preparing designs, specifications, project manuals and schedules, and coordinating activities with architects and consultants.
  • Facilitating projects by monitoring progress, supervising contractors, performing inspections, preparing reports, managing the computer system, and evaluating funds needed for projects.
  • Performing other duties as assigned.


Minimum Qualifications

  • Must possess the knowledge necessary to understand basic operational, technical, and office processes.
  • Must have at least six (6) months of advanced study or training past the high school equivalency.
  • Must have at least three (3) years of related experience.
  • Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Operator’s Driver’s License with an acceptable driving record.
