Provide specialized behavioral support as a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) in educational settings, focusing on students with diverse needs in the Chattanooga, TN area. This full-time contract role offers the opportunity to impact student outcomes through direct intervention and supervision within multiple schools.
This role involves providing specialized behavioral support to students, ensuring effective interventions and collaboration with various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 10-12 students requiring behavioral support
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized behavior plans
- Supervise 1-2 Registered Behavior Technicians (RBTs) to ensure consistency and effectiveness of interventions
- Complete 4-day TCIS (Therapeutic Crisis Intervention for Schools) training, funded by the district, to comply with program requirements
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to optimize student progress
- Maintain active BCBA licensure and national certification
- Complete necessary fingerprinting for credentialing
Qualifications
- Active BCBA licensure and national certification required
- Experience working with school-aged children in behavioral roles
- Ability to supervise RBTs effectively
- Commitment to full-time schedule (37.5 hours per week) with core hours between 7:15 a.m. and 4:15 p.m.; some schedule flexibility possible
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to obtain required fingerprint clearance timely
