B.S. and/or M.S. in Biological Sciences, Biochemistry, or a related field with 3–5 years of laboratory research experience.
Strong expertise in molecular biology techniques including nucleic acid extraction and purification, quantification, NGS library preparation/QC, and qPCR.
Hands-on experience with next-generation sequencing (NGS) technologies and applications, including sequencing, quantification, and data QC, preferably using Illumina platforms.
Direct experience with bulk RNA-seq and amplicon-seq workflows.
Required experience in single-cell and single-nucleus RNA-seq library preparation.
Familiarity with multiple scRNA-seq/snRNA-seq platforms such as 10X Genomics Chromium, Illumina PIP-seq, ScaleBio, or Parse Biosciences.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with CRISPR-based gene editing and high-throughput screening is a plus.
Exposure to laboratory automation systems including Mantis, Integra systems, Liquid Handlers, SPTLabtech Firefly, Tecan, or similar platforms is preferred.
Strong organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Experience maintaining documentation in electronic laboratory notebook systems.
Responsibilities
Support research and early clinical development programs focused on biologics, small molecules, oligonucleotides, and cell therapies targeting diabetes, obesity, cardiovascular disease, and metabolic disorders.
Perform RNA-seq, scRNA-seq, snRNA-seq, and other sequencing library preparation workflows to support multiple therapeutic area research groups.
Conduct molecular and cell biology experiments to identify and validate drug targets.
Assist with assay design, optimization, validation, troubleshooting, and data analysis in support of drug discovery initiatives.
Analyze complex experimental data and present findings through written summaries and oral presentations.
Collaborate cross-functionally with research teams to support scientific and operational goals.
Maintain accurate experimental records and documentation in compliance with laboratory standards.
