Bilingual Payroll Specialist (Spanish/English) – Onsite

Location: Onsite (Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Compensation: $60,000 – $70,000 (up to $80,000 for candidates with additional accounting experience)


Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Bilingual Payroll Specialist with strong experience in Paylocity to take full ownership of payroll operations. This is a critical, hands-on role responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing in a fast-paced, high-volume environment.


The ideal candidate is fluent in both Spanish and English, has full-cycle payroll experience, and is confident working independently while collaborating with HR and Accounting teams.


Key Responsibilities

Payroll (Primary Focus)

  • Process weekly, full-cycle, multi-state payroll using Paylocity
  • Review and audit timecards, PTO, and pay adjustments
  • Ensure payroll accuracy, timeliness, and compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
  • Maintain payroll data including earnings, deductions, benefits, and tax withholdings
  • Perform payroll reconciliations and resolve discrepancies proactively
  • Address employee payroll inquiries professionally in both Spanish and English
  • Support year-end processes including W-2 preparation and audits

Accounting Support

  • Prepare payroll-related journal entries and assist with general ledger reconciliations
  • Partner with Accounting on payroll, tax, and benefits reconciliation
  • Assist with month-end and year-end close processes
  • Review payroll-related invoices and deductions

HR & Administrative Support (Secondary)

  • Assist with onboarding and employee data entry in Paylocity
  • Maintain accurate employee records and documentation
  • Support benefits administration and employee communications
  • Participate in payroll and HR process improvements

Required Qualifications (Must-Have)

  • 3–5+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience
  • Strong hands-on Paylocity experience (administrative level preferred)
  • Fluency in Spanish and English (spoken and written)
  • Experience processing multi-state payroll
  • Advanced Excel skills (reconciliations, reporting, data analysis)
  • Strong knowledge of payroll laws, tax regulations, and compliance
  • High attention to detail with the ability to meet strict deadlines
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in high-volume or operations-driven environments
  • Weekly payroll processing experience
  • Exposure to benefits administration
  • Basic accounting knowledge (AP/AR, journal entries, reconciliations)
