Summary:

High-impact role within the Global Automation and OT Services organization. This engineer owns the automation specifications, design standards, and engineering execution strategy for all major on-site capital expansion projects.

Rather than handling routine day-to-day machine troubleshooting, this individual focuses on scaling plant capabilities, integrating new high-speed processing lines, and deploying advanced OT infrastructure. Operating within a cross-functional, high-performance team of internal resources and external integration vendors, this engineer delivers technical leadership to ensure projects are executed on time, in scope, and on budget while directly improving site operational capability.

Areas of Clean Ownership

Site Automation & OT Infrastructure: Develops, plans, and implements facility-wide IT/OT systems, including industrial network infrastructure (Ethernet/IP), PLC systems, HMI/SCADA platforms, and process data historians.

Power & Electrical Controls Design: Provides site-level technical leadership for power and low-voltage systems, establishing standards for switchgear, Motor Control Centers (MCCs), power distribution, and low-voltage field instrumentation.

Capital Project Execution: Directly manages the automation lifecycle for site capital projects. Gathers site technical requirements, develops proposals, handles vendor/consultant management, and reviews technical bids.

Data, Dashboards & Analytics: Leads the on-site implementation of process control applications, plant data collection systems, industrial historians, and operational dashboards to give the plant real-time visibility.

Engineering Asset Documentation: Formally maintains and updates all site automation assets, including master PLC/HMI programs, electrical diagrams, P&IDs, pin charts, and sequences of operations.

Technical Leadership: Provides mentorship and advanced technical guidance to the facility's automation team, fostering a collaborative, continuous-improvement culture.
