Overview
A well-established and growing litigation firm is seeking an Insurance Defense Attorney to join its Raleigh office. This hybrid opportunity offers exposure to sophisticated general liability matters within a collaborative, mentorship-focused environment.
This role is ideal for a proactive litigator who enjoys managing cases end-to-end, has strong advocacy skills, and is committed to delivering excellent client service.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle a range of general liability matters, including premises liability, auto accidents, and slip-and-fall claims
- Manage cases from initial intake through resolution or trial
- Draft pleadings, motions, discovery, and legal memoranda
- Conduct and defend depositions
- Attend court appearances, mediations, and arbitrations
Qualifications
- J.D. from an accredited law school
- Active admission to the North Carolina Bar (additional admissions a plus)
- 3+ years of experience in insurance defense or general liability litigation
- Strong research, drafting, and case management skills
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
