About The Role
Our firm is partnering with a leading global organization in the transportation and logistics industry to identify an Associate Operations Coordinator. This role supports daily freight operations by ensuring shipments move efficiently, accurately, and on time. The position is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced, detail-oriented environment and enjoys working cross-functionally with customers and carrier partners.
As an Associate Operations Coordinator, you will play a key role in maintaining service quality, supporting operational workflows, and ensuring customer and carrier satisfaction through consistent execution and follow-through.
Job Description
With a focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency, the Associate Operations Coordinator will perform operational and customer support tasks in accordance with established policies and standard operating procedures (SOPs). Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Providing shipment status and load information to customers and carrier partners
- Creating and activating orders and shipments within internal systems
- Building, assigning, and managing loads
- Scheduling pickup and delivery appointments
- Tracking and tracing in-transit shipments
- Entering shipment events and supporting invoicing processes
- Monitoring task boards and assigned email queues to respond to inquiries
- Documenting events using SOP guidelines and escalating issues when required
- Following through on customer and carrier requests to ensure timely resolution and satisfaction
- Validating the accuracy of shipment and load data according to internal and customer standards
- Performing additional duties as assigned based on team or location-specific needs
Qualifications
Required
- High school diploma or GED
- Previous customer service experience
- Ability to work evenings and/or weekends for select roles
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow defined processes
Preferred
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Customer service experience in a call center or similar environment
- Demonstrated communication, prioritization, and time management skills
- Prior experience requiring high levels of accuracy and data validation
- Commitment to working in a diverse and inclusive environment
