KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools  is part of the KIPP national network. Together with families and communities, we create joyful, academically excellent schools that prepare students with the skills and confidence to pursue the paths they choose – college, career, and beyond – so they can lead fulfilling lives and build a more just world. 

In the 2026-2027 school year, the KIPP Jacksonville region will be comprised of four schools educating 3,000+ students, kindergarten through twelfth grade, in the North and Westsides of Jacksonville, Florida:

  • KIPP Impact Academy: Kindergarten – 8th grade
  • KIPP VOICE Academy: Kindergarten – 8th grade
  • KIPP Bessie Coleman Academy: Kindergarten – 8th grade
  • KIPP Bold City High School: 9th - 12th grade

For the current school year, teachers at KIPP Jacksonville Public Schools work the following hours Monday through Friday and may have occasional meetings or special school events outside of these hours. Hours for teachers and students may vary slightly by school.

  • K-8 Staff: 7:30am - 4:30pm K-8 Students: 8:00am - 3:30pm, Wednesday K-8 dismissal is at 1:30pm 

  • High School Staff: 6:45am - 3:45pm, High School Students: 7:15am - 2:30pm, Wednesday High School dismissal is at 12:30pm. 

Every Wednesday is a student early release day, which allows teachers to participate in weekly professional development and content team meetings. *This doesn’t include Wellness Wednesdays when all staff leave at student dismissal.

Job Description

KIPP Jacksonville seeks a detail-oriented and motivated Associate of Finance to support the daily financial operations and reporting for a $40M+ annual budget across four legal entities. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the Associate will play a key role in ensuring financial accuracy, maintaining efficient procurement processes, and supporting the organization’s long-term financial health.

Key Responsibilities

Procurement and Operations

  • Execute regional procurement processes, ensuring compliance with internal controls.

  • Manage the end-to-end Accounts Payable process, including invoice verification and  accurate coding of expenses

  • Strengthen and manage vendor relationships to ensure high-quality service delivery, favorable terms, and streamlined communication.

  • Work closely with school-based operations teams and regional leadership to ensure effective budget management at the campus level.

  • Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) that ensure financial accuracy and provide maximum benefit to the organization.

 

Financial Support and Data Management

  • Provide documentation and support for timely reimbursement reporting to Duval County Public Schools (DCPS).

  • Work with external accounting partners to ensure data integrity and consistency across multiple entities and funds.

  • Support the Finance Team in the execution of the annual budget process and regional systems.

 

Payroll and Metrics

  • Support the Finance Team in managing payroll processes and ensuring timely execution.

  • Collaborate with the Human Resources team to ensure seamless alignment between personnel data and financial records.

Qualifications
  • Experience: Proven professional experience in Accounts Payable, financial planning, or general accounting (school-based or non-profit experience is a plus).

  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and advanced Excel skills.

  • Preferred Systems: Familiarity with Bill.com and Sage Intacct is a significant plus.

  • Communication: Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively across various regional teams.

  • Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data for reporting purposes.
