Green Cove Animal Hospital is seeking a passionate and experienced Associate Veterinarian (full or part-time) to join our growing team. This role is ideal for a veterinary professional who is confident in surgery and ultrasound use, and who values both high-quality medicine and meaningful relationships with clients. We are a modern practice with a strong sense of community, offering a balanced, fulfilling work environment with no nights, weekends, or on-call shifts.

Pay:Pay starts at $120,000 salary per year and is negotiable based on experience and hours worked. Pay will be adjusted over time to reflect increasing cost of living, increasing proficiency, and obtaining new skills or improving skills.
About Our Clinic:Green Cove Animal Hospital is a well-established, 3,500 sq. ft. small animal practice located in Green Cove Springs—just south of Jacksonville, FL. Owned and operated by husband-and-wife duo Drs. Rowe and Ruby, both Auburn grads, we combine modern medicine with a hometown feel. Our fast-growing suburban-meets-rural community offers the perfect opportunity for long-term professional growth.
We’re primarily a dog-and-cat practice, but we welcome the addition of exotics or pocket pets if that’s your area of interest. Our team includes a dedicated practice manager and 10 experienced support staff members, all committed to growth through hands-on training and development.
Our facility currently includes four exam rooms, with plans to expand to six as part of a larger clinic remodel. A revamped surgical suite and enlarged treatment area are also in progress, aimed at streamlining workflows and improving efficiency. We are equipped with modern diagnostics and tools to support high-quality care.
Key Responsibilities:Perform general wellness and diagnostic exams, with a focus on strong client education
Confidently manage surgical cases and utilize ultrasound for diagnostic procedures
Work collaboratively with staff to provide consistent, compassionate care
Maintain thorough medical records and treatment plans
Contribute to a positive, growth-oriented team environment
Educate pet owners on follow-up care, medications, and preventive healthcare
DVM or equivalent degree required
3–5 years of clinical experience preferred
Strong surgical skills and confidence with ultrasound diagnostics
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Compassionate, grounded, and team-oriented personality
