Associate Attorney

LHH is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of medical malpractice defense experience (or prior healthcare law experience) for a well‑established firm in Tampa, FL.


Responsibilities

  • Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and other litigation documents
  • Conduct legal research and analysis
  • Prepare timely status reports for insurance carriers and clients
  • Attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings
  • Accurately track billable time in compliance with client guidelines
  • Manage matters in accordance with the Florida Medical Malpractice Act and related procedures


Qualifications

  • Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
  • 3–5 years of relevant medical malpractice or healthcare litigation experience
  • Strong legal writing, research, and critical‑thinking skills
  • Professional, motivated, and team‑oriented with a strong work ethic
  • Comfortable using legal technology, process management systems, and automation tools
