LHH is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3–5 years of medical malpractice defense experience (or prior healthcare law experience) for a well‑established firm in Tampa, FL.
Responsibilities
- Draft pleadings, discovery requests and responses, motions, and other litigation documents
- Conduct legal research and analysis
- Prepare timely status reports for insurance carriers and clients
- Attend depositions, mediations, and court hearings
- Accurately track billable time in compliance with client guidelines
- Manage matters in accordance with the Florida Medical Malpractice Act and related procedures
Qualifications
- Active Florida Bar membership in good standing
- 3–5 years of relevant medical malpractice or healthcare litigation experience
- Strong legal writing, research, and critical‑thinking skills
- Professional, motivated, and team‑oriented with a strong work ethic
- Comfortable using legal technology, process management systems, and automation tools
