The ideal candidate will manage litigation cases and resolve legal disputes on behalf of clients by developing agreements, negotiating contacts, setting claims and advocating for clients in court. This individual will build client relationships and provide an excellent customer experience for clients.
Responsibilities
- Litigation, defending management and corporate clients in state and federal courts in all types of employment-related matters, including wrongful termination, sexual harassment, employment discrimination, and whistleblower
- Investigations of harassment and discriminatory claims
- Employment policy manuals and onboarding materials
- Drafting offer letters, contracts, and severance agreements
- Defending wrongful termination claims
- Defending wage and hour claims and legal compliance
- Drafting arbitration agreements and trying cases in arbitration
- Defending PAGA defense and class actions
- Defending DFEH, EDD, and other administrative claims
Qualifications
- Possess a Juris Doctorate Degree
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong legal knowledge, work with Westlaw
- Active and good standing with CA Bar Association
- 1-3 years in Civil Litigation as an Attorney, ideally within employment law
