An established South-Florida-based Consumer Rights law firm is hiring a Foreclosure Defense Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This Attorney will handle foreclosure and other state and federal consumer-related litigation.
Responsibilities:
• Draft and file legal documents, including pleadings, discovery, and motions.
• Prepare and respond to discovery
• Prepare for and argue motions, including motions for summary judgment
• Attend mediations and settlement conferences, motion calendar hearings
• Take and defend depositions
• Attend jury and bench trials
• Legal Research
• Work closely and communicate effectively with clients and their agents
Requirements:
• FL Bar license in good standing.
• 2+ years of consumer-related civil litigation experience, specifically in foreclosure defense, mortgage litigation, and/or real estate-related disputes.
• Previous experience practicing in State and Federal Courts
• Experience taking and defending a deposition, arguing before a judge, and attending court appearances
• Have strong analytical skills, proficient in legal research, drafting legal documents, and attention to detail
