Karney Clayton is a boutique personal injury law firm focused on representing injured motorcyclists and other seriously injured clients. We are NOT a factory firm handling a bunch of minor cases, your caseload will be lower and the cases will be more significant. These are real cases for people that really need and appreciate your help.

This is an excellent opportunity for a lawyer interested in personal injury and civil litigation who wants meaningful hands-on experience, real mentorship, and long term professional and financial growth.

What You’ll Do

This role involves direct involvement in all aspects of case management, including:

• Investigating claims and developing case strategy
• Managing property damage issues
• Handling pre-litigation negotiations with insurance companies
• Drafting pleadings and conducting discovery
• Taking and defending depositions
• Preparing cases for trial or arbitration
• Working closely with partners on litigation strategy

You will gain real experience quickly and be trusted with meaningful responsibility while receiving day-to-day mentorship from experienced trial attorneys.

What We’re Looking For

• Licensed attorney in North Carolina (bonus if licensed in South Carolina too)
• Interest in personal injury and civil litigation
• Strong written and oral communication skills
• A collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and ask questions
• Desire to build a long-term career

Bonus points if you have an interest in motorcycles, as representing injured riders is the core of our practice.

Defense attorneys who are interested in switching sides and working on legitimate cases are encouraged to apply.

Compensation & Benefits

• Salary Range: $100,000 – $140,000 (base) depending on skills and experience
• Bonus: Year-end bonus (typically 5-10%+, depending on performance)

Office address: 7696 Gateway Lane NW, Concord, NC 28027. Although it says Concord, it is on the line with North Charlotte (near Concord Mills, the Speedway, and Truliant Amphitheater). This is an in-person role.
