A well-established boutique law firm in Norfolk, VA is seeking an Associate Attorney to join its growing team.
Responsibilities
Represent clients in all phases of family law matters, including divorce, child custody and visitation, child and spousal support, and domestic relations proceedings
Handle traffic defense cases including reckless driving, speeding, and other motor vehicle offenses in Virginia courts
Represent clients charged with DUI/DWI, including license suspension hearings, plea negotiations, and trial
Conduct client consultations, manage case files, and maintain regular communication with clients throughout their matters
Draft pleadings, motions, agreements, and correspondence across both practice areas
Appear in General District Court, Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, and Circuit Court as needed
Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school
Licensed to practice law in the Commonwealth of Virginia, or eligible for admission
Experience in family law, traffic/criminal defense, or general litigation is a plus — candidates at all experience levels are encouraged to apply
Strong courtroom presence and comfort with regular court appearances
Highly organized with the ability to manage a diverse, active caseload

The annual salary for this position is between $80,000 and $115,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
