Associate Attorney — Hammond Law Group (Colorado Springs)
If you became an attorney to do meaningful work and build real client relationships, keep reading.
You want to advise people, to own client relationships from start to finish and see the outcome of your work.
You want a clear picture of what advancement looks like, with defined criteria, a real timeline, and feedback focused on both measurable goals and whether you're becoming a better attorney, not on hours logged.
You got into law to guide people through hard moments, and you want a practice where that purpose stays at the center.
Hammond Law Group was built for attorneys who want exactly this.
WHO WE ARE
Hammond Law Group is the preeminent estate planning firm in Colorado for thoughtful families seeking a trusted partner in protecting their loved ones' future. In our 21st year, we serve more than 5,000 client families across the Front Range from offices in Colorado Springs and Denver. Our mission: making things as easy as possible at the most difficult times in life. We help families pass on not just their financial capital, but also their human capital.
We have been voted "Best Attorney" in Colorado Springs three years running and named a "Best Place to Work" by the Colorado Springs Gazette. We operate inside the Entrepreneurial Operating System (EOS): clear goals, visible metrics, and genuine accountability at every level. We are a flat-fee firm, which means attorney performance is measured by client outcomes and revenue contribution, not billable hours.
We are growing, expanding both the depth of our legal services and how many clients we serve. The attorney we hire will be a stakeholder in what this firm looks like at 25 and 30 years.
THE ROLE
We're hiring an associate attorney who is outgoing, growth-oriented, and energized by building lasting client relationships.
This is not a behind-the-door, document-assembly position. You will meet directly with clients, lead consultations, present at public workshops and community events, and build referral relationships while doing serious, sophisticated legal work for successful clients.
You will have a strong team around you - capable paralegals, intake coordinators, and support staff - so you can stay focused on guiding clients and other work that requires your legal judgment. You will also be expected to understand where clients come from and to contribute actively to the firm's growth.
If you prefer transactional work over relationships, this isn't the right fit.

WHO THRIVES HERE
We hire and grow people who share our values:
Beyond values, the attorneys who thrive here share three qualities that are harder to teach than estate planning law:
A skilled communicator, not just a skilled lawyer. You communicate clearly and warmly with people who are scared, overwhelmed, or grieving. You do not hide behind legalese.
Energized by people. You find client interaction energizing. This is a high-contact role and the best candidates for it genuinely love that.
You think like a business owner. You understand how a firm makes money and you want to contribute to it through relationships, reputation, and measurable results.
You are also accountable and self-directed. In an EOS environment with clear goals and real metrics, high performers love the clarity. They want to know what success looks like, and they want to be held to it.
