Job Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Bankruptcy Associate Attorney to support a growing and dynamic bankruptcy and creditors’ rights practice. This role offers the opportunity to work on a broad range of matters, including commercial bankruptcy, creditors’ rights, workouts, and related litigation.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in representing creditors, lenders, and other parties in Chapter 7, 11, and 13 bankruptcy proceedings
- Draft pleadings, motions, objections, and other filings in federal bankruptcy court
- Conduct legal research and prepare memoranda on bankruptcy and related commercial law issues
- Support litigation efforts, including discovery, depositions, and court appearances (as appropriate)
- Communicate with clients, opposing counsel, trustees, and court personnel
- Assist with loan workouts, restructurings, and enforcement of creditors’ rights and remedies
- Maintain organized case files and manage deadlines across multiple matters
Qualifications:
- Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school
- 2+ years of experience in a law firm or legal setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong command of the written word and excellent verbal communication skills
- Attitude above all else – willingness to jump in with both feet, to be coachable, and to work well with others as part of a team.
- Ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment.
- Ability to synthesize complex legal and regulatory concepts into easily understood and digestible terms, for communication to courts, clients and juries.
- Proficiency in conducting legal research.
- Self-motivated and detail oriented.
- Adaptability and ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously.

Salary:
$145,000 - $165,000 annual base salary, commensurate with experience
