Our firm is seeking an associate attorney to assist us in handling insurance defense claims out of our firm’s Atlanta, GA office. While applicants from all geographic locations will be considered, a successful candidate must be willing to reside within a reasonable commute to/from our firm’s Atlanta, GA office.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Our ideal candidate:
1. Has at least 1-2 years of experience in litigation, some workers’ compensation insurance defense required;
2. Has a functioning understanding of civil procedure from pleadings to trial/State Board hearings;
3. Is familiar with the basics of propounding and responding to discovery in civil cases; and
4. Is licensed to practice law in the State of Georgia (additional states/jurisdictions are a plus).
A successful candidate for this position should be congenial, can work proactively, both independently and as a team member, and demonstrate strong analytical, writing, research, and communication skills.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:
· Minimum of 1-2 years’ experience; workers’ compensation defense experience required.
· J.D. and bachelor’s degrees from an accredited institution(s) required.
· Licensed to practice law in Georgia.
· History of academic success.
