The Junior Analyst, Commercial Operations Analytics supports data-driven decision-making within Global Commercial Sales Operations by assisting with reporting, analytics, forecasting support, and operational insights. This role focuses on executing standardized analytics, maintaining dashboards, and supporting cross-functional teams with accurate and timely data.

The Junior Analyst partners closely with Senior Analysts and the Senior Manager to support reporting, KPI tracking, and commercial performance analysis across the Tissue Technologies (TT) and Codman Specialty Surgical (CSS) Global Product Divisions. This role provides foundational analytics support while developing skills in sales analytics, forecasting, and commercial operations within a global environment.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

SALES ANALYTICS AND REPORTING

  • Support the creation, maintenance, and updating of standardized sales dashboards and recurring reports
  • Perform routine sales performance, pipeline, and forecast variance analyses
  • Compile and validate data for monthly and quarterly commercial reporting
  • Assist in responding to ad hoc data and analysis requests from commercial leadership
  • Ensure data accuracy and adherence to established reporting standards

DIGITAL ENABLEMENT AND SUPPORT

  • Assist with Salesforce reporting.
  • Support testing and documentation of analytics tools, dashboards, and reporting enhancements
  • Collaborate with IT and Commercial Operations teams to troubleshoot basic data and reporting issues

FORECASTING AND BUSINESS PLANNING SUPPORT

  • Assist senior team members with sales forecasting data preparation and analysis
  • Help track performance metrics in support of Integrated Business Planning (IBP) processes

METRICS AND OPERATIONAL SUPPORT

  • Track and update KPIs aligned with Commercial Operations initiatives
  • Support analysis of workflow efficiency and basic productivity metrics
  • Assist with documentation of reporting processes, SOPs, and data definitions

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COLLABORATIONS

  • Support Finance, Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain requests with data pulls and reporting
  • Assist in preparing materials for monthly operating reviews and business presentations

Learning & Continuous Improvement

  • Identify opportunities to improve report efficiency, automation, and data organization
  • Develop working knowledge of analytics best practices, tools, and commercial processes
  • Participate in training and development to build advanced analytics and business skills

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Analytics, Finance, Economics, or a related field
  • 0–2 years of experience in analytics, commercial operations, finance, sales operations, or internships in related fields
  • Basic understanding of sales metrics, pipelines, and forecasting concepts preferred
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; experience with formulas, pivot tables, and basic modeling
  • Exposure to global or matrixed organizations is a plus but not required
  • Candidate must be local to Princeton, NJ

SYTEMS TOOLS AND EQUIPMENT USED

  • Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Salesforce.com (reporting and data extraction support)
  • Power BI or other data visualization tools (basic user level)
  • ERP or inventory management systems exposure preferred (e.g., Oracle, MoveMedical)

Salary Pay Range:

$62,100.00 - $85,100.00 USD Salary

Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Individual pay is determined by several factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. In addition to base pay, employees may be eligible for bonus, commission, equity or other variable compensation.
