Your new role

As an Assistant Project Manager, you will support the successful planning and execution of commercial construction projects from pre-construction through closeout. Working closely with the Project Manager, you will help ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to client expectations.


Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining project files and documentation
  • Supporting project schedules and tracking subcontractor progress
  • Coordinating meeting minutes and project reporting
  • Assisting with contract administration, permits, RFIs, submittals, and change orders
  • Supporting monthly requisitions and monitoring subcontractor billing
  • Coordinating site activities and reporting on project progress
  • Assisting with punch lists and project closeout documentation

This position is based in Columbia, MD, with flexibility to work remotely one day per week.


What you'll need to succeed

  • Minimum 3 years of commercial construction experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related discipline
  • Strong understanding of contract documents, drawings, specifications, RFIs, and submittals
  • Experience with project management software such as Procore, P6, Sage, or AutoCAD
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
