Huntingdon College (Montgomery, Alabama) invites applications for the position of Assistant Professor of Accounting to begin August 1, 2026. This is a tenure-track position, requiring a 24-credit hour teaching load (typically four courses per semester) of face-to-face teaching of a range of courses contributing to majors in accounting, plus requirements in student advising, service, and scholarly activity. The bulk of the teaching load will be in accounting, but there may be opportunity to teach other business classes.

Successful candidates will demonstrate excellence in teaching, especially in teaching first-year college students, and a strong commitment to ethical behavior and professionalism. Required Qualifications:

An earned Ph.D. in Accounting. Master’s-prepared candidates with qualifying work experience will be considered for a non-tenure-track position; an appointment to the tenure track requires a terminal degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience teaching at the university/college level.
  • CPA designation.
