Assistant Plant Controller (42632)


Our client is an organization in the Sheboygan County area that’s looking for an Assistant Plant Controller. This company is looking for someone with 6+ years of experience, analytical, and who has excellent leadership skills. This company offers competitive benefits, high visibility, and a strong, tenured team. This position is onsite.


The salary for this job is $110K - $120K.


The Assistant Plant Controller will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:


RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Partner with leadership and operations teams to provide financial insights, drive performance improvements, and support achievement of business objectives.
  • Lead month-end close activities for plant operations, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting and analysis.
  • Support and manage annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes across multiple manufacturing facilities.
  • Monitor cost savings initiatives and productivity improvement projects, tracking performance against financial targets.
  • Evaluate capital investment and business opportunities by analyzing financial and operational impacts, including ROI, IRR, and post-implementation results.
  • Establish and maintain standardized reporting processes, procedures, and internal controls to ensure accurate product costing and inventory management.
  • Provide financial leadership, coaching, and cross-functional collaboration to promote best practices and continuous improvement across plant operations.


The Assistant Plant Controller will possess the following:


EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

  • 6+ years of related experience, including managing or leading a team
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance or Accounting; CMA, CPA, or MBA preferred
  • Skilled at analyzing data, spotting trends, and coming up with action plans or recommendations
  • Proficient in Intermediate Excel, Word, and PowerPoint); SAP preferred
  • Attention to detail, with a genuine curiosity to dig into details as needed
  • Analytical mindset to address cost variances and other opportunities
