About the Role

The Assistant Manager is a key leader within the boutique, supporting the Store Manager in delivering an elevated, highly personalized shopping experience. This role blends hands-on sales leadership with operational excellence, ensuring the boutique reflects the brand’s aesthetic, values, and standards at all times.

Ideal for a fashion-focused professional with a strong eye for detail, the Assistant Manager leads by example on the sales floor and maintains a strong, confident presence there at all times. This leader consistently coaches in the moment - guiding, motivating, and developing the team through real-time feedback and support. They build lasting client relationships and cultivate a polished, service-driven team culture. In partnership with store leadership, this role helps bring the brand’s vision to life through thoughtful styling, exceptional service, and seamless execution.



Key Responsibilities


Client Experience, Styling & Brand Representation


  • Deliver a refined, personalized client experience aligned with the brand’s positioning
  • Serve as a brand ambassador, embodying the brand’s aesthetic, values, and styling philosophy
  • Maintain a strong, visible presence on the floor, ensuring energy, focus, and service standards remain consistently high
  • Lead by example on the sales floor through elevated styling, confident selling, and client engagement
  • Cultivate meaningful client relationships through thoughtful clienteling, follow-ups, and wardrobe-building
  • Handle client concerns with discretion, professionalism, and a solution-oriented mindset



Operations & Floor Leadership


  • Support daily operations to ensure a seamless, elevated store experience
  • Assist with opening and closing procedures, cash handling, and operational controls
  • Maintain impeccable visual standards in line with brand guidelines, ensuring the boutique is always presentation-ready
  • Support inventory accuracy, stock organization, and loss prevention efforts
  • Serve as Manager on Duty when needed, confidently overseeing the sales team, boutique operations and client experience
  • Demonstrate a strong leadership presence on the floor, proactively identifying opportunities to drive sales and perfect service



Team Leadership & Development


  • Support the training, coaching, and development of the sales team with a focus on service and styling excellence
  • Provide consistent, in-the-moment coaching on the floor to elevate selling behaviors, styling execution, and client engagement
  • Reinforce sales expectations, service standards, and store etiquette
  • Foster a collaborative, motivated, and fashion-driven team environment
  • Communicate effectively with the Store Manager regarding team performance, client feedback and store upkeep and operations 



Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2-3 years of retail experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to drive sales and build customer relationships.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • High sense of initiative and a positive attitude.
  • You prioritize providing stellar customer service.
  • Able to multitask in a very fast paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail - floor standards and inventory control.
  • Available to work retail hours, including days, nights, weekends and holidays
  • Proficiency with Shopify POS System preferred
  • Understanding of the brand culture and modern aesthetic to deliver a premium client experience.
