Assistant General Manager - Restaurant

Kalahari Resorts & Conventions is seeking an Assistant General Manager. In this position, you’ll work with the restaurant general manager to oversee and coordinate the planning, organizing, training, and leadership necessary to achieve stated objectives on a day-to-day basis in sales, costs, employee retention, guest service and satisfaction, food quality, cleanliness, and sanitation of the restaurant’s dining room and kitchen areas.

We’re seeking three dynamic leaders, each for single-unit oversight, responsible for elevating one of our signature dining concepts:

Double Cut Steak House – Our signature steakhouse serving bold flavors.

B-LUX Grill & Bar – Deliciously unique burgers and shakes handcrafted from scratch.

Sortino’s Italian Kitchen – A modern, elevated Italian restaurant and bar.

In this role, you’ll lead with heart, inspire your team, and create memorable dining experiences that keep guests coming back.

Must be available for nights, weekends, holidays, and peak business periods.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensure that all food and beverage products are consistently prepared and served according to the restaurant’s recipes, portioning, cooking, and serving standards.
• Achieving company objectives in sales, service, quality, the appearance of the facility, and sanitation and cleanliness through training of associates and creating a positive, productive working environment.
• Fill in where needed (as interim Manager, Supervisor, or Associate) to ensure guest service standards and efficient operations are met daily.
• Continually strive to develop, coach, and train your staff in all areas of managerial and professional development.

What We’re Looking For

• With this position, we do require a background of general food and beverage knowledge, involving at least 1 year of front-of-the-house operations and/or assistant management positions in a hotel or resort setting.
• Prior restaurant experience in a full-service restaurant and supervisory experience of staff is a must.
• It’s preferred that you have at least 2 years of directly related experience, including experience with craft cocktails.
