Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in New York, NY for an Assistant General Manager. The Assistant General Manager is responsible for overseeing daily restaurant operations, including staff management, guest satisfaction, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key duties include team leadership, implementing service standards, monitoring inventory, addressing customer inquiries, coordinating events, and ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations. The role requires collaboration with team members and management to deliver exceptional hospitality experiences.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and team management skills with the ability to inspire and supervise employees effectively
• In-depth knowledge of restaurant operations, inventory management, and hospitality best practices
• Exceptional customer service and conflict resolution skills to address guest inquiries and concerns
• Organizational and time management abilities for overseeing multiple tasks and responsibilities
• Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, to collaborate with team members, vendors, and customers
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations related to food and beverage service
• Proficiency with restaurant management software and point-of-sale systems is a plus
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a supervisory or management role in the hospitality industry
• Bachelor’s degree in hospitality management, business administration, or a related field is preferred but not required

Compensation

$80-$85k + Bonus
