Assistant General Counsel

We are looking for a Corporate Attorney interested in moving in-house with a global financial services company handling various corporate matters. The position will provide legal support across a variety of business functions and initiatives including commercial matters, compliance issues, and contract review.

**This will be an onsite role. Must be willing to work in NYC office at least 4 days a week*

Responsibilities

• Provide legal support on a broad range of business matters and initiatives.
• Partner with internal stakeholders to address legal and regulatory considerations.
• Support compliance efforts and monitor relevant legal and regulatory developments.
• Conduct legal research and prepare guidance on emerging issues.

Requirements

• JD and admission to NY State Bar
• Several years of relevant legal experience in a professional services, law firm, or in-house environment.
• Experience with commercial or business-related legal matters.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
• Sound judgment and ability to work with a range of internal stakeholders.
• Comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
