Apprentice Electrician

We are seeking a skilled electrician to join our team for a commercial new construction project. The ideal candidate will have experience in electrical installations and be adept at working with higher voltages, low-voltage systems, and following safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Install conduit (EMT, rigid, PVC) and pull electrical wire and cables.
• Install grounding and bonding systems.
• Set junction boxes, outlet boxes, and device boxes.
• Set and wire transformers.
• Install switchgear, switchboards, and panelboards, and run feeders.
• Install interior and exterior lighting systems.
• Install and wire low-voltage systems such as fire alarm systems, building automation systems, and security systems.
• Work with higher voltages (277/480V).
• Follow OSHA standards, including Lockout/Tagout procedures.

• State of Michigan Apprentice License.
• 3+ years of commercial electrical experience.
• Valid Driver's License.

• Experience with electrical, conduit, construction, wiring, blueprint, and schematic.

Upon successful completion of the project, there is an opportunity for direct employment, which includes a company vehicle and gas card. Employees will receive a performance review after 90 days, with the potential for a raise at that time.

Work Environment

This position is based at a 50,000 sq. ft. commercial new construction project at the Twelve Oaks Mall. The project is estimated to run for 5-6 months, with a schedule from Monday through Friday, 7am to 3:30pm, and potential overtime on Saturdays. Candidates must arrive on-time, equipped with appropriate PPE and tools, and demonstrate a positive attitude and strong work ethic.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Novi, MI.

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Novi,MI.
