Applications - Test Engineer (62-85K)
We are seeking an Applications Engineer to work for an industry leading manufacturer in the Binghamton, NY area.
This is a direct hire opportunity.

Key Duties include:
Design & Build Test Equipment:
- Develop custom test systems from concept through build
- Define system requirements and integrate custom components
- Participate in hands-on assembly, integration, and validation
Test Fixture Development:
- Collaborate with Tool Design and Engineering teams to create production-ready test fixtures
- Translate product drawings into functional testing requirements and specifications
Test System Software Development:
- Develop software for: Test execution & runtime control, recipe management, and calibration processes
- Utilize tools like VB, LabVIEW, Python, and SQL
Engineering Support:
- Support Design & Process Engineering with test method development
- Ensure products meet performance, quality, and compliance standards
Education, Experience, and Requirements:
- BS in Electrical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, or related field (with co-op/internship experience)
- Will also consider an AAS + 3–7 years in test engineering/technician role
- Exposure to test equipment, automation, or controls systems
- Electrical/mechanical systems integration
- Programming experience (VB, LabVIEW, Python, SQL) is a strong plus
