Location - Wallingford CT

Salary - 75,000 to 80,000 per year - Possibly more for the ideal candidate

Hybrid 4 days a week on site – optional remote day


Position Summary

The Application Analyst I is an early-career position responsible for supporting Senior Application Analysts in the delivery, support, and ongoing improvement of healthcare applications. This role is task-oriented and requires the ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt quickly to changing needs, and collaborate closely with cross-functional teams. The position is well-suited for individuals seeking professional growth through hands-on experience, mentorship, and exposure to healthcare information systems.

The following qualifications are preferred but not required:

HIGHLY PREFERRED - Experience working in a hospital or healthcare system environment.

  • Exposure to healthcare applications or electronic medical record systems
  • Experience working in a hospital or healthcare system environment (e.g., Help Desk, MIS, or entry-level analyst role)
  • Familiarity with interfaces, APIs, or basic data concepts
  • Experience with application onboarding, system enhancements, or technical support activities
  • Basic familiarity with tools such as Meditech, HL7, or SQL is helpful

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide day-to-day application support under the guidance of Senior Application Analysts
  • Assist with troubleshooting application, workflow, or data-related issues and participate in identifying root causes
  • Complete assigned technical and functional tasks across multiple projects simultaneously
  • Escalate issues appropriately while remaining actively involved in resolution efforts
  • Support application testing, validation, and documentation activities
  • Participate as a team member on application-related projects
  • Support project activities including meetings, task tracking, and follow-up items
  • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability as project priorities and timelines change
  • Identify opportunities for process, workflow, or system improvements during routine support activities
  • Seek to understand application functionality and underlying processes rather than solely following documented steps
  • Develop skills and knowledge through active learning and mentorship
  • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders, including clinical, operational, and administrative staff
  • Provide clear and timely updates regarding assigned tasks or issues
  • Collaborate closely with project teams consisting of IT staff and business partners
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks and shift priorities as needed
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, team-oriented environment
