Analytical Scientist

The Science Team at Russell Tobin and Associates is hiring an "Associate Scientist-Analytical Development" for a top leading biotechnology organization.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute analytical assays for cell therapy characterization and GMP release testing
• Support assay qualification, validation, and transfer to QC
• Perform cell-based assays, flow cytometry, immunoassays, and product characterization studies
• Support aseptic human T-cell culture and process monitoring
• Maintain detailed experimental documentation and analyze/present scientific data
• Assist with SOPs, technical reports, and analytical method development

Qualifications

• BS/MS in Biology, Immunology, Biotechnology, or related field
• 5+ years of biotech/lab experience
• Strong experience in human T-cell biology, cell-based assays, and flow cytometry
• Hands-on aseptic cell culture experience with primary cells and cell lines
• Experience with assay development/testing and laboratory documentation
• Strong communication and data analysis skills

Preferred

• Cell therapy industry experience
• Experience with ELISA, potency/cytotoxicity assays, Luminex
• Familiarity with qPCR/ddPCR and electrophoresis
• DOE-based assay development experience

Additional Details:

• Location: San Diego, CA
• Position Type: 6-Month Contract (Extension Possible)
• Pay rate approved: $40-45/hr. on W2 depending on experience
