Work Type: Onsite

Shift: Monday to Friday from 08:00 AM to 05:00 PM (Occasional weekends as needed)

Pay Rate: $20.00 - $22.00/hr.

Summary:

The Scientist I – Research & Development / Analytical Chemist is responsible for testing and releasing raw materials and finished products in support of internal product development, as well as testing stability samples. The position requires experience in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment, knowledge of analytical chemistry, and familiarity with cGMP and GLP practices.


Responsibilities:

  • Test and release raw materials in support of internal product development.
  • Test and release finished products in support of internal product development.
  • Test stability samples in support of internal product development.
  • Assist with laboratory safety activities.
  • Assist with ordering laboratory supplies.
  • Support laboratory cleanup activities.


Required Skills

  • Bachelor's Degree is required.
  • Minimum of 1–2 years of related experience with a Bachelor's Degree; or 0–1 years of experience with an advanced degree or equivalent work experience.
  • Previous knowledge and experience with HPLC, LC-MS, GC, FTIR and UV-Vis
  • Understanding of analytical development and the ability to resolve a wide range of issues in creative ways.
  • Knowledge of cGMP and GLP requirements.
  • Experience working in a pharmaceutical laboratory environment.
  • Knowledge of Analytical Chemistry.
  • Advanced written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a laboratory environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds.
