Amazon Performance Marketing Manager

We are an Inc. 5000 fast-growing pet brand seeking a driven Amazon performance marketer. This role is the revenue engine behind our marketplace growth—owning Amazon advertising, catalog performance, and retail strategy, then extending winning content and offers into our supporting channels (paid social, email/SMS, affiliates, and social commerce).

We're looking for someone who doesn't just manage Amazon campaigns. They think like a business operator, obsess over efficiency, and make data-driven decisions at speed. They understand that on Amazon, advertising, organic rank, content, pricing, and reviews all move together and they know how to pull every lever.

This role reports to our Marketplace Growth Director and works closely with our Social & Creator Manager.


What You'll Own

Your role is to drive profitable growth on Amazon and turn that momentum into incremental revenue across our other channels.


Amazon Advertising (Primary Focus)

  • Own and manage full-funnel Amazon Ads: Sponsored Products, Sponsored Brands, Sponsored Display, and DSP
  • Launch, test, and optimize campaigns across keywords, ASINs, audiences, and placements
  • Continuously reallocate budget based on performance and efficiency
  • Manage to clear targets: ACoS, TACoS, ROAS, and total marketplace contribution margin
  • Scale winning campaigns and quickly cut what isn't working
  • Defend branded terms and win share on high-intent competitor and category keywords

Performance Tracking & Insights (Amazon-First)

  • Own Amazon performance reporting and the marketplace P&L view
  • Identify what's driving rank and revenue—and what's dragging on efficiency
  • Translate Search Query Performance, Brand Analytics, and ad data into clear actions
  • Feed Amazon learnings (winning keywords, creative, offers) back into content and broader strategy

Supporting Channels (Incremental Revenue)

  • Extend high-performing creative and offers into paid social (Meta, TikTok) to drive demand
  • Support email/SMS execution tied to launches, promotions, and key moments, optimizing for revenue per send
  • Own affiliate marketing strategy and performance
  • Use external traffic and creator content to fuel Amazon rank and reviews

Creator → Channel → Revenue Integration

  • Partner closely with the Social & Creator Manager to leverage high-performing content
  • Turn winning content into scalable Amazon creative, ads, and commerce assets
  • Identify opportunities to scale creators through Amazon, paid, and affiliate channels

Testing, Optimization & Growth

  • Run continuous experiments across creative, keywords, audiences, offers, and listings
  • Focus on what drives: Revenue, ACoS/TACoS, Customer Acquisition Cost (CAC), and contribution margin
  • Maintain a high velocity of testing and iteration

Collaboration Across the Growth System

  • Work closely with the Growth Director to align on strategy, budget, and goals, and with the Social & Creator Manager to guide content that converts
  • Provide clear input on what content to produce more of, what offers are working, and where to allocate budget

AI & Tools (Non-Negotiable)

  • Be fluent in Amazon Seller/Vendor Central and Amazon Ads, ideally with tools like Helium 10, Jungle Scout, or similar
  • Comfortable working across Meta Ads, TikTok Ads, Klaviyo (or similar), and affiliate platforms
  • Use AI tools daily (Claude, analytics tools, etc.) to manage campaigns, analyze performance, and scale testing

Performance & Growth Mindset

  • You think in terms of total business performance, not individual channels
  • You are accountable for revenue and margin, not just campaign metrics
  • You move quickly, test aggressively, and make decisions based on data

  • Hands-on experience managing and scaling Amazon Ads and marketplace performance
  • Analytical and comfortable making decisions with imperfect data
  • You understand how advertising, organic rank, content, pricing, and reviews work together on Amazon
  • Scrappy, resourceful, and execution-focused
  • Obsessed with improving performance and driving growth
  • You care about outcomes

Bonus Points If You …

  • Have profitably scaled an Amazon business for a DTC or eCommerce brand
  • Have hands-on experience with Amazon DSP and external traffic strategies
  • Have managed paid media and affiliate programs alongside Amazon
  • Are already using AI tools daily (Claude, analytics tools, etc.)

Location

This is an in-office position with occasional flexible work-from-home Fridays.


Pay: $70,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
