AI Forward Deployment Engineer

A financial firm is looking for an AI Forward Deployment Engineer to join their team in New York, NY.

Compensation: $200-300k

U.S. Citizens or GC Holders only; No visa sponsorship

This is a full-time opportunity; No c2c or third party candidates

Candidates must be local; No relocation

Responsibilities:

• Deploy large language models (LLMs), predictive models, and decision systems into live financial environments
• Work with front-office and risk teams to identify high-value AI use cases and rapidly prototype solutions
• Integrate AI systems with trading platforms, market data feeds, and internal financial systems
• Optimize model performance for latency-sensitive environments
• Design secure, compliant AI infrastructure aligned with financial regulatory standards
• Implement monitoring, evaluation, and guardrails for model risk management
• Work with research teams to adapt frontier models for financial applications

Qualifications:

• 5–7+ years of experience in software engineering, machine learning engineering, or applied AI
• Strong Python proficiency; experience with ML frameworks
• Experience deploying AI/ML systems into production environments
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong understanding of APIs, distributed systems, and data pipelines
• Experience in quantitative finance, algorithmic trading, or risk systems
• Experience working with LLMs, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), and AI safety practices
• Background in low-latency systems or high-frequency environments
