Adjunct Professor in Biology

Texas Lutheran University invites applications for an adjunct position in the Department of Biology starting Aug 2026. This part time faculty member will teach BIOL 140 lectures and BIOL 140L labs for Basic Biology, a non-majors biology course, in a Face-to-face modality.

Qualified applicants will have the following:

• Master’s degree (minimum) in Biology or a related field
• Evidence of effective teaching and commitment to excellence and innovation in teaching
• Teaching experience in a lab setting
• Ability to work collegially with other faculty members and staff in the department and across campus
• General familiarity and comfort using computers. Experience with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
• Ability to learn software which might be new, such as course management software like Brightspace/Desire2Learn.
