Adjunct Political Science Instructor

To teach part-time as an adjunct curriculum Political Science instructor, as needed.
  • Teach courses in Political Science.
  • Teach online classes using the Moodle LMS.
  • Implement evaluation methods that accurately measure student attainment of stated competencies and review performance evaluations with students to ensure they understand their results.
  • Submit reports in a timely and accurate manner and maintain academic, attendance, and student records.
  • Complete mandatory SafeColleges training within 30 days of hire and participate in annual refresher training thereafter.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Master’s degree in Political Science, or a master’s degree in a related field with at least 18 graduate-level credit hours in Political Science.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Proficiency with computer software.
  • Self-starter who is a team player and able to work effectively with others.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in both English and Spanish.
Salary Range:Commensurate with education and experience

Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview. To be considered, all degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education.

Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire.

Foreign Degrees: Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions will not be considered alone.
