- Primary responsibilities include teaching courses in the subject area
- Must be able to teach day and evening classes, which may include courses offered at the main campus and off-site locations
- May be required to teach in multiple modalities, including traditional (in-person), online, and hybrid formats
- Must complete mandatory SafeColleges training within 30 days of hire and annual refresher training thereafter
Required Qualifications
- Adjunct instructors must meet faculty qualifications as defined by Wayne Community College to ensure compliance with the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges (SACSCOC)
- All certifications and/or post-secondary credentials must be from a regionally accredited institution and submitted to Human Resources within 30 days of hire
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proficiency in computer software
- Ability to work effectively as a self-starter and team player
Preferred Qualifications
- Proficiency in both English and Spanish

Unofficial transcripts from all degree-granting, institutions must be electronically attached to your application or submitted to Human Resources before being considered for an interview. To be considered, all degrees must be awarded by a regionally accredited institution recognized by the United States Department of Education.
Official transcripts for all coursework and degrees will be required within 30 days of hire.
Foreign Degrees:Foreign degree evaluations must be attached in lieu of transcripts for degrees earned outside the United States. Transcripts from foreign institutions will not be considered alone.
