The SR Manager/Manager of Accounting will be responsible for leading day to day accounting and finance functions. This position is responsible for a multitude of accounting activities including general ledger, month end close, financial planning & reporting, year-end audit preparation, compliance, working in conjunction with external audit firm and related activities, expense management and decision support.

Responsibilities:

· Responsible for all company financial matters. This includes maintaining accounting principles, practices, and procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial statements.

· Ensure the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and quarterly reporting

· Ensure that appropriate controls and procedures are in place for accurate and timely financial reporting.

· Utilize existing accounting systems to automate processes and reporting where appropriate.

· Interfacing with leadership to collect and explain financial data and financial implications of operating decisions

· Oversee the preparation of detailed work-papers in connection with year-end income tax basis financial statements and tax returns.

· Reconcile payroll and operating accounts.

· Analyzing variances, trends and proactively communicating with external audit firm and corporate decision makers

· Annual capital and operating budgeting; proactive planning with senior leadership

· Planning, monitoring, and reviewing job contributions and allocating resources effectively

· Serve as the company compliance officer as it relates to taxes, employment guidelines and laws

· Gross to Net Calculations and Analysis



Our Ideal candidate:

· Strong understanding of accounting principles and accounting requirements

· Strong organization, coordination and planning, and problem-solving skills

· Strong written and verbal communication skills

· Proficiency with Excel and SAP

· BS/BA Accounting

· CPA A MUST

· Pharmaceutical experience preferred but not mandatory

· Capable of reviewing, editing as well as creating new processes and procedures
