Accounting Manager

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager for a growing company in Corona, CA. The ideal candidate will have a strong manufacturing accounting background along with hands-on cost accounting exposure. This role will oversee day-to-day accounting operations, support month-end close, analyze financial results, and help ensure accurate inventory and cost reporting. The Accounting Manager will partner closely with leadership and cross-functional teams to improve processes, maintain controls, and support business decisions.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage daily accounting operations, including general ledger, month-end close, account reconciliations, and financial reporting
  • Oversee and review journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, and supporting schedules
  • Support the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
  • Monitor and analyze manufacturing costs, inventory valuation, standard costing, and cost variances
  • Assist with cost accounting functions, including BOM review, labor and overhead allocation, and inventory analysis
  • Partner with operations, supply chain, and production teams to ensure accurate cost tracking and reporting
  • Review inventory transactions, cycle counts, and physical inventory results to ensure accuracy and proper accounting treatment
  • Analyze margin performance, production costs, and operational efficiency trends
  • Maintain and improve internal controls related to accounting, inventory, and cost processes
  • Support budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning activities
  • Assist with external audits, tax support, and compliance requirements
  • Mentor and support accounting staff as needed


Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with experience in an Accounting Manager or senior-level accounting role
  • Manufacturing industry experience required
  • Strong cost accounting exposure required
  • Experience with inventory accounting, standard costing, variance analysis, and month-end close
  • Strong knowledge of general ledger accounting and financial reporting
  • Proficiency in Excel and ERP systems
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work cross-functionally and communicate effectively with operations and leadership
