Job Details

The Senior Manager of Accounting and Finance will be a trusted advisor to the Controller and CFO, as well as the rest of the accounting and finance team, located in St. Louis, Missouri. The candidate will provide hands-on leadership and a tactical perspective to help drive the Company’s growth and create shareholder value. This person will be a critical finance team leader in the execution and support of the Company’s growth strategy. The Senior Manager of Accounting and Finance and its direct reports will manage financial reporting and overall control processes, inclusive of broad responsibilities for ERP, audit, balance sheet, financial consolidation, and the corporate month end close process. The Senior Manager of Accounting and Finance will also have responsibility for maintaining the company’s culture of hard work, dependability and integrity.

Specific Responsibilities
Serve as a business partner to the Controller and CFO and as a key member of the finance and accounting team, provides tactical direction required to support revenue growth and leverage market opportunities.
Support efficiencies in the month end close process, supported by comprehensive account reconciliations and coordination of accounting staff.
Assist with the audit and tax compliance work, recognizing the unique demands of acquisitions and purchase accounting.
Prepare corporate financial consolidation, including profit/loss statements, balance sheets, statements of cash flow, and statements of members equity.
Develop standardized Standard Operating Procedures and ensure consistent adoption across enterprise.
Support the shared services model as it relates to general and comprehensive accounting services, including on-boarding new acquisitions.
Oversee vendor compliance and centralized cash disbursements and consistent adherence to the Company’s policies.
Assist with financial oversight and maintain responsibility for corporate financial integrity to ensure continued financial performance.
Ensure that the finance organization (e.g., people, processes, and systems) can support the Company’s planned growth.
Ensure all current and future regulatory reporting requirements are met and provide adequate structure and discipline around internal controls and the closing process.

Qualifications; Experience
A minimum of 7 years financial accounting experience and CPA license required.
Strong preference exists for a candidate with significant, direct Netsuite experience.
Strong preference exists for a candidate who has proven accounting leadership experience.
Strong preference exists for a candidate who has successfully grown with a multi-unit retail organization at a substantial and sustained rate of annual growth to $200 million revenue or more.
Audit experience with Big 4, and/or prior experience with private equity and mergers and acquisitions preferred.
Ability to build, install and continuously improve processes to support a strong finance organization. Key disciplines will include month-end close, financial reporting, audit and tax coordination, purchase accounting, financial consolidation, and integrating acquisitions.
A proven ability to build, lead and motivate a financial staff is important.
Comfortable working in and building a data-driven environment, with a basic understanding/appreciation of multi-unit retail economic models.
Experience working in a leveraged environment focused on strong balance sheet, EBITDA, and cash flow. A history of enhancing efficiency of operations and understanding the operational dynamics of the business in addition to the financial dynamics. competitive base salary and annual bonus opportunity
