We are seeking a Regional Accounting & Finance Director – Americas to lead accounting, consolidation, and financial reporting across multiple entities within the region. This role reports directly to senior finance leadership and plays a key role in driving financial transformation, ensuring compliance, and supporting strategic initiatives.


Overview

The Regional Finance Director will oversee end-to-end accounting operations, including IFRS reporting, statutory compliance, and consolidation activities. This individual will partner with regional and global teams to enhance financial processes, support system implementations, and drive organizational improvements across the finance function.


Finance Transformation

  • Lead regional finance transformation initiatives, including ERP (SAP/S4HANA) implementation and Shared Services Center (SSC) deployment
  • Drive process optimization, standardization, and automation across accounting functions
  • Partner with global teams to improve financial reporting, analytics, and decision-making capabilities
  • Support transition of transactional finance activities (RTR, PTP, OTC, Payroll) into SSC model


Accounting & Reporting

  • Oversee all regional accounting operations, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local GAAP requirements
  • Manage month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes and consolidation
  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation of financial statements and statutory accounts
  • Coordinate and lead external audits and internal audit processes


Financial Compliance & Controls

  • Establish and maintain strong internal controls, governance, and compliance frameworks
  • Ensure adherence to tax regulations, statutory filings, and financial reporting requirements across multiple jurisdictions
  • Act as a key liaison for audit, regulatory, and compliance matters


Strategic Leadership

  • Serve as a strategic partner to senior leadership, providing insights on financial performance, risks, and opportunities
  • Support M&A activities, including due diligence, integration, and compliance oversight
  • Drive alignment between accounting, controlling, and reporting functions


Team Leadership

  • Lead and develop regional accounting teams across multiple locations
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement
  • Manage performance, resource allocation, and team development


Systems & Process Improvement

  • Evaluate and enhance financial systems and workflows
  • Drive automation and efficiency initiatives across finance operations
  • Lead system implementations and process improvement projects


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
  • CPA, ACA, ACCA, or equivalent professional certification required
  • 10+ years of progressive finance experience, including leadership of multi-entity or regional teams
  • Strong expertise in IFRS and familiarity with local GAAP across the Americas
  • Experience with SAP (S4HANA preferred) and financial consolidation systems (e.g., Hyperion/HFM)
  • Proven experience leading finance transformation initiatives or SSC implementations
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills
