Account Manager

CoVar is seeking a proactive and relationship-driven Account Manager to support and grow our key customer accounts. In this role, you will oversee day-to-day shipping activity, identify opportunities for improved efficiency, and ensure our clients receive exceptional service backed by CoVar’s operational expertise.

As an Account Manager, you will be the primary point of contact for your clients—coordinating shipments, resolving issues quickly, communicating proactively, and developing a strong understanding of both the freight market and CoVar’s technology and processes.


Job Duties & Responsibilities

  • Serve as the main client contact, managing the full shipping process
  • Maintain and strengthen existing account relationships while offering solutions based on shipping patterns, capacity needs, and performance trends
  • Confidently resolve issues such as missed pickups, delays, damages, or billing discrepancies
  • Proactively communicate service updates, exceptions, or disruptions to clients
  • Coordinate daily shipments through phone, email, and CoVar’s internal systems
  • Become proficient with CoVar’s technology tools and help educate clients on how to use them
  • Collaborate across departments to track loads, address service concerns, and file claims accurately and promptly


Skills & Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • New graduate or 1–2 years of customer service or account support experience in a business services environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to stay calm and solutions-focused under pressure
  • Strong business acumen and attention to detail
  • Understanding of freight transportation modes is a plus
  • Team-oriented mindset with a commitment to delivering great client service


Work Environment

This role operates in an office environment using a computer, phone, and standard office equipment. The workspace is open and collaborative, with typical noise levels and regular interruptions throughout the day. Sitting, speaking, and engaging with clients and team members are routine expectations.
