Job Summary:

  • To support the Commercial Logistics Division of LBC North America which manages the flow of goods and information across a customer’s global supply chain.
  • To act as a bridge between customers and business units through consultative selling strategy to understand the customers’ business, including their current situation and their future direction, and propose a series of solutions and capabilities that exceed their needs and enhance their ability to drive improved business results.
  • To gain new business and to gain new business and to keep and grow existing customers in line with LBCs strategies to ensure the growth of the Commercial Logistics division.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Win, retain and develop small to medium-sized Business Customers through sales "hunting" activity, correctly assessing the prospective account as Profitable, Significant or Strategic in order to secure winning bids.
  2. Maximize sales growth from existing customers through the development of new sales, product marketing, and customer support strategies; and achieving specific volume growth targets.
  3. Builds rapport and trust with customers by being informed about customer’s business and the market and support customer retention through collaboration with all resources and stakeholders.
  4. Recommend solutions based on customer needs by using industry knowledge
  5. Perform all aspects of the sales process and input & update all relevant activities utilizing LBC systems
  6. Evaluate actual performance vs sales targets and budgets and identify gaps and bridges these gaps
  7. Monitor and manage financial expenditure associated with selling function
  8. Ensure maintenance of all accounts to include rate and performance reviews, claims monitoring and management, credit monitoring, report preparation, contract preparation, monitoring of renewals, etc.
  9. Achieve agreed revenue targets and budget as approved by the Immediate Head
  10. Oversees the team and ensures that they are equipped with relevant product knowledge and skills required to perform their duties
  11. Performs other tasks as may be assigned from time to time.


Job Specification:

  • Graduate of any 4 year Business Course
  • Minimum of 2 years work experience in field sales in freight forwarding, logistics processes, systems and solutions
  • Knowledge of International Freight Forwarding (air and ocean required)
  • Solid PC Operational Knowledge and Microsoft Office applications
  • Willing to extend working hours if needed
  • Willing to travel
