Overview

Vital Care of Mayfield Heights is seeking a driven, relationship‑focused Account Executive to expand our footprint across hospitals, clinics, and physician practices. This role is responsible for managing key referral accounts, generating new referral opportunities, and ensuring that providers understand the full value of our services. You’ll be the face of our organization in the field—building trust, identifying patient needs, and ensuring seamless communication between clinical partners and our care team.


Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage referral relationships with hospitals, specialty clinics, physician offices, and other healthcare partners to drive consistent patient referrals.
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities within assigned territories, including outreach to new providers, service lines, and care teams.
  • Maintain a strong presence in the field, conducting regular in‑person visits, educational in‑services, and follow‑ups with clinical stakeholders.
  • Use Trella Health CRM to track referral activity, manage accounts, document interactions, and analyze growth opportunities.
  • Collaborate with internal teams, including nursing, pharmacy, and operations, to ensure a smooth onboarding experience for referred patients.
  • Monitor referral trends, competitive activity, and market dynamics to inform strategy and territory planning.
  • Deliver presentations and educational materials to providers and staff to increase awareness of Vital Care’s infusion therapy services.
  • Meet or exceed monthly and quarterly referral growth targets through strategic account management and new business development.
  • Represent Vital Care at community events, conferences, and professional meetings to strengthen brand visibility.


Required Experience & Qualifications

  • 2–4 years of healthcare sales or account management experience, ideally in infusion therapy, home health, specialty pharmacy, medical devices, or related clinical services.
  • Proven success managing hospital and clinic accounts, including building relationships with physicians, nurse practitioners, case managers, and discharge planners.
  • Experience using CRM platforms, preferably Trella Health, to manage pipelines, track activity, and analyze referral data.
  • Strong understanding of healthcare workflows, referral processes, and patient care coordination.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently, manage a field‑based schedule, and prioritize multiple accounts.
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation for regular travel within the territory.


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in infusion therapy, specialty pharmacy, or chronic disease management.
  • Familiarity with local hospitals, specialty clinics, or physician groups.
  • Background in educating clinical teams or conducting in‑services.
