Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounting Clerk to join our accounting team on a part-time basis (20–25 hours per week). The ideal candidate will be responsible for supporting both Accounts Payable and Accounts Receivable functions, maintaining accurate financial records, processing transactions, and assisting with general accounting activities. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.


Key Responsibilities:


Accounts Payable

  • Process high-volume vendor invoices accurately and in a timely manner
  • Verify invoice details, including pricing, quantities, approvals, and coding
  • Match purchase orders, receipts, and invoices
  • Prepare and process electronic payments and check runs
  • Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies
  • Maintain organized accounts payable records and files


Accounts Receivable

  • Generate and distribute customer invoices and statements
  • Post customer payments and maintain accurate receivable records
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on past-due accounts
  • Research and resolve billing discrepancies and customer inquiries
  • Reconcile accounts receivable balances and assist with collections efforts


Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field preferred
  • 1–3 years of accounting, accounts payable, accounts receivable, or bookkeeping experience
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities
