Job Description
The 3rd Shift Maintenance Technician supports a fast-paced automotive manufacturing facility by performing mechanical, electrical, and controls maintenance on a wide range of automated production equipment. This multi-craft role focuses on preventative maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of hydraulic thermoforming presses, ovens, robotic waterjets, 3-phase motors, and Allen-Bradley and Siemens PLCs and HMIs. The technician will connect to equipment via laptop to diagnose programs and drives, ensuring safe, reliable, and efficient operation of production systems across the plant.

Work Environment
This role is based in a large automotive manufacturing plant of approximately 300,000 square feet that produces interior sound-deadening materials for the automotive industry. The environment is extremely fast paced and highly deadline-sensitive, reflecting the demands of automotive production. The facility operates multiple shifts, with this position scheduled for 3rd shift from 11:00 PM to 7:00 AM, Sunday night through Friday morning, and includes a shift premium for working nights. Other shifts in the plant include 1st shift (7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, Monday–Friday) and 2nd shift (3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, Monday–Friday) with an additional premium. The plant typically operates around 50 hours per week, and team members should expect to work most Saturdays until staffing levels are fully met, with some Sundays required; work performed on Sundays is paid at double time. The facility uses a wide range of industrial equipment, including hydraulic thermoforming presses, ovens, robotic waterjets, 3-phase motors, PLCs, HMIs, powered industrial trucks, aerial lifts, and cranes. Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $32.00 - $38.00/hr.
