Multi-Axis CNC Machinist

Job Description

We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist to join our team in Santa Ana, CA. This role involves performing setups and operating various CNC mills, lathes, and manual machines in a production-paced environment. This position will be on 3rd shift (9:00pm-5:30am)with pay from $28-$32 an hour. Overtime available and open to skill levels (operator or setup machinist).

Responsibilities

• Set up CNC lathes, mills, manual machines, and inspection equipment for production jobs promptly to support a production-paced environment.
• Maintain and update setup procedures for all critical processes.
• Work from blueprints, job routings, and tooling instructions to hold close tolerances.
• Use computer skills to transfer programs to a variety of CNC machines.
• Inspect parts to print, including both dimensional and visual requirements.
• Complete all required documentation for the job, including part measurements and shop floor paperwork.
• Train and mentor less experienced machinists, especially on machine setup.
• Run more than one machine where cycle time permits.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Essential Skills

• Experience with CNC Lathe/Mill, specifically with Brother and Haas machines.
• Ability to write or edit machine programs.
• Familiarity with measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers.
• Proficiency in performing light setups.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Santa Ana, CA.

The pay range for this position is $28.00 - $32.00/hr.

This is a fully onsite position in Santa Ana,CA.
