Role Description This is a full-time, on-site YouTube Editor / Videographer role based in San Diego, CA. The YouTube Editor / Videographer is responsible for planning, shooting, and editing high-quality video content that showcases Fast Lane Drive events, member experiences, and brand storytelling. Day-to-day tasks include filming rallies, drives, and special events; capturing b-roll and interviews; organizing and managing footage; and editing videos optimized for YouTube and other social platforms. The role collaborates closely with marketing and leadership teams to develop video concepts, create compelling thumbnails and titles, and ensure consistent branding and messaging. Additional responsibilities may include maintaining camera and audio equipment, managing upload schedules, and monitoring video performance to support ongoing content strategy.
Qualifications
- Strong Video Production skills, including camera operation, lighting, audio capture, and on-location shooting.
- Proficiency in Video Editing, with experience using professional editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar).
- Hands-on experience with YouTube, including understanding of platform best practices, SEO-friendly titles, tags, thumbnails, and analytics.
- Effective Communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across teams and capture authentic stories from members and partners.
- Understanding of Marketing principles, especially social and digital content marketing, to align video content with brand and growth goals.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating dynamic event coverage, lifestyle content, and short-form storytelling.
- Ability to work on-site, manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to fast-paced event schedules, including occasional evenings and weekends.
- Experience in automotive, luxury, lifestyle, or event-focused content is a plus; a valid driver’s license and ability to travel locally as needed are beneficial.
