Job Title: Travel Radiologic Technologist (X-Ray) – Orthopedic Outpatient

Location: New York, NY (Manhattan)

Weekly Gross: Up to $3,000 (Includes a $2,000 qualifying non-taxed travel stipend)

Travel Reimbursement: Up to $700 ($350 each way)

The Opportunity

We are seeking a high-energy, proactive Radiologic Technologist to join a premier orthopedic and sports medicine imaging team in the heart of NYC. This is a fast-paced, outpatient environment where precision meets patient care. If you thrive in a busy workflow, take pride in your image quality, and love the energy of a collaborative team, this is the perfect assignment for you.

Schedule & Workflow

  • Shift: Monday – Friday (No weekends!)
  • Hours: Choice of 8:00am–4:00pm, 8:30am–4:30pm, or 9:00am–5:00pm (30-minute lunch).
  • Consistency: Assignments are provided a week in advance. While you may move between buildings on the same street day-to-day, you typically will not float during your shift.
  • Volume: Expect a productive pace of 20–25 patients per day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Orthopedic Focus: Produce high-quality diagnostic images focusing primarily on Knees, Hips, and Spine.
  • Tech Stack: Utilize GE equipment, Centricity PACS, and Epic EMR.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside a large team of 20+ techs. You’ll receive 1-on-1 training to start, and a supervisor is always on-site for support.
  • Patient Care: Maintain a professional, supportive environment while ensuring accurate positioning and safety.

What We’re Looking For

We value hands-on expertise and attitude over a specific number of years on a resume. If you are adaptable and eager to learn, you’ll fit right in.

Mandatory Licensure

  • Certification: Active ARRT (R) certification.
  • Licensure: Must hold a current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
  • Active BLS (Preferred through the American Heart Association)

Required Skills & Experience

  • Orthopedic Expertise: Proven experience in an ortho-heavy environment.
  • Outpatient Pro: You prefer the clinic setting over the OR/ER.
  • Technical Proficiency: Direct experience with GE machines is required.
  • High Volume Capability: Ability to handle a busy workflow with accuracy.
  • Soft Skills: A "team-player" mentality, a positive attitude, and a proactive approach to asking questions and receiving coaching.

Preferred "Bonus" Skills

  • Sports Medicine: Experience working with athletes and sports-related injuries.
  • EOS Imaging: Experience with EOS low-dose 2D/3D imaging is a huge plus!

Why Join This Team?

"This isn't just about pushing a button. We’re looking for techs who take pride in their work and want to be part of a specialized, world-class orthopedic team. You’ll have a dedicated floor for specific body parts, meaning you can truly hone your craft in a supportive, expert environment."
