Overview

The Registered Medical Assistant / Laboratory / X-Ray Technologist works under general supervision to perform laboratory and x-ray procedures involving a high degree of independent judgment. Performs patient care tasks under general supervision with minimal independent judgment. Maintains all lab records and equipment logs.

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare laboratory and laboratory equipment and x-ray supplies and equipment for daily operation (e.g., turn on equipment and computer, retrieve necessary chemicals, reagents, etc.)
  • Inventory lab and x-ray supplies to ensure sufficient amounts are available
  • Examine expiration dates of chemicals and replace expired products
  • Perform shut-down procedures on equipment at end of day (e.g., general cleaning, flushing lines, disassembly, return

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED
  • 0 to 6 months related experience and/or training
  • Current phlebotomy certification and training in lab procedures required
  • The x-ray technologist must be licensed by the state of Arkansas
  • Current Registered Medical Assistant license required
