Minimum Qualifications:
• 3+ years’ experience with UPW, Wastewater Treatment, Process Water, or similar semiconductor-related process mechanical systems
• BS in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Environmental Engineering, or similar STEM degree + relevant industry experience
• Basic to strong knowledge of data analysis tools (SQL, Power Query, Power BI, R, Python, etc.) to interpret operational data and support engineering decision-making
• Experience with UPW distribution systems, water polishing skids, filtration, DI/RO systems, reclaim/recycle systems, and industrial wastewater treatment
• Experience and knowledge of chemical waste drain systems, acid waste neutralization (AWN), lift stations, and segregated waste collection systems
• Experience with copper waste treatment processes, including handling, monitoring, and treatment of copper-bearing waste streams
• Experience supporting process mechanical systems such as PCW, CDA, vacuum, and drain infrastructure
• Strong organizational and documentation skills
• Experience with UPW/Waste or process mechanical systems in semiconductor or similar industries
Tasks and Responsibilities:
• Support design, planning, and execution of UPW/Waste CAPEX and sustaining projects, including capacity upgrades, reliability improvements, and system modifications
• Prepare project request forms, engineering scope documents, risk assessments, and technical justifications for review by system‑owning engineers
• Coordinate with construction teams, vendors, and operations to develop step plans, design packages, quotes, and installation sequencing
• Participate in design reviews and provide engineering input for UPW/Waste tool hookup requirements, distribution routing, and drain interface points
• Perform field audits, punch‑list walks, SL1/SL2 turnover support, and project closeout activities
• Generate and analyze system performance data to validate project outcomes, identify improvements, and guide future planning
• Provide day-to-day engineering support for UPW, reclaim, filtration, wastewater treatment, and waste drain systems, including troubleshooting and system performance analysis
• Maintain and update point-of-connection (POC) documentation for UPW supply/return and waste drain systems, ensuring accuracy and standardization
• Create and maintain system design documentation, flow schematics, sequence of operations, critical operating parameters, and standard engineering details
• Identify and scope system improvements to drive efficiency, reliability, safety, and compliance
• Collaborate with operations to resolve system issues, analyze alarm/alert trends, and implement corrective actions
• Develop and maintain SPC charts, operating trend visualizations, and performance dashboards for UPW/Waste system health monitoring
• Support system owners in long-term strategy development for capacity planning, redundancy improvements, water conservation initiatives, and waste reduction
• Support development, optimization, and execution of Preventative Maintenance (PM) programs for UPW/Waste systems including skids, filters, pumps, UV reactors, pH systems, sensors, and distribution infrastructure
• Maintain documentation for spare parts, PM intervals, maintenance procedures, and system reliability metrics
• Work with operations and maintenance technicians to evaluate PM effectiveness and identify opportunities to reduce downtime or cost
• Assist in failure analysis (RCAs), implement corrective actions, and update PM strategies accordingly
• Develop temporary operating procedures or work instructions for atypical maintenance events, to be reviewed by system-owning engineers
• Provide oversight and auditing of maintenance activities to ensure quality, safety, and adherence to procedure
